This is a heart-healthy exercise done on a stationary bike machine. It works your heart and your leg muscles. To do it, you pedal at a steady speed. You can also change the settings to make the pedaling harder if you want.

How to Perform

  1. 1Move the seat up or down so it fits your body correctly.
  2. 2Put your feet on the pedals and strap them in if you can.
  3. 3Start pedaling at a speed that feels good, keeping your back straight and your tummy tight.
  4. 4Keep a smooth rhythm and turn up the resistance if you want to work harder.
  5. 5Keep pedaling for as long as you planned to exercise.
  6. 6Slow down and lower the resistance to cool down.
  7. 7Stretch your legs when you are done to help your muscles feel better.
