This exercise works your tummy, shoulders, and back. You hold a weighted ball in one hand and throw it down hard to the floor. You need to be strong and careful to do it right.

One Arm Slam (with Medicine Ball) demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand with your feet apart. Hold the ball in one hand near your waist.
  2. 2Bend your knees a little bit and tighten your stomach muscles.
  3. 3Lift the ball up high over your head until your arm is straight.
  4. 4Throw the ball down to the floor as hard as you can. Use your stomach and shoulders to help you throw it.
  5. 5Catch the ball when it bounces back up. Do this again for as many times as you need.
