Lever Reverse Hyperextension

This machine exercise works your butt muscles (glutes). It also helps your hamstrings and lower back. You lie on your stomach and use your muscles to lift your legs up.

Lever Reverse Hyperextension demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Set up the machine to fit your size and lock your feet into the pads.
  2. 2Lie on your stomach so your hips stay on the pad, but let your upper body hang off the edge.
  3. 3Cross your arms over your chest or put them behind your head.
  4. 4Squeeze your butt and leg muscles to lift your legs up until they are straight and level with the ground.
  5. 5Stop for a second at the top, then slowly lower your legs back down.
  6. 6Do this as many times as you need to.
