Lever Preacher Curl

This exercise is done on a machine to strengthen your biceps. You rest your upper arms on a soft pad and pull the handles up. The pad holds your arms still so your biceps do all the work.

How to Perform

  1. 1Set the seat height so you fit comfortably.
  2. 2Sit down and rest your upper arms over the pad.
  3. 3Hold the handles with your palms facing up.
  4. 4Keep your back straight and your elbows pressed against the pad.
  5. 5Breathe out and pull the handles up toward your shoulders.
  6. 6Hold for a second at the top and squeeze your arm muscles.
  7. 7Breathe in and slowly lower the handles back down.
  8. 8Repeat this movement for your set.
