Lever Lying Leg Curl

This exercise works the muscles on the back of your thighs, called hamstrings. You lie on your stomach on a machine and lift your legs up against the weight. You must move slowly to squeeze the muscles.

How to Perform

  1. 1Set the machine to fit your height and pick the weight you want.
  2. 2Lie on your stomach with your legs straight. Put the back of your ankles under the padded bar.
  3. 3Hold the handles or the sides of the machine to stay steady.
  4. 4Keep your body still and breathe out. Bend your legs to pull the weight up as high as you can. Do not let your hips lift off the bench.
  5. 5Hold the weight at the top for a moment and squeeze the back of your legs.
  6. 6Breathe in and slowly lower the weight back down to where you started.
  7. 7Do this again for as many times as you planned.
