Lever Back Extension

This is a machine exercise for your lower back muscles. It also works your bottom and the back of your legs. You sit on the machine, hold your feet in place, and push your back against the weight.

Lever Back Extension demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Set the machine to fit your height and how far you can move.
  2. 2Sit down with your back touching the pad and lock your feet in place.
  3. 3Hold onto the handles.
  4. 4Tighten your stomach muscles and slowly lean forward, letting your back curve just a little.
  5. 5Stop for a second at the bottom when you feel a stretch in your lower back.
  6. 6Use your back muscles to slowly lift your body back up to where you started.
  7. 7Do this again for as many times as you need.
