Weighted Russian Twist (legs Up)

This exercise works your stomach muscles, especially the sides, and helps your hips. You sit with your feet up and hold a weight. Then, you twist your body from side to side. Keeping your legs up makes it harder to balance.

How to Perform

  1. 1Sit on the floor. Bend your knees and lift your feet up. Keep your legs together.
  2. 2Hold the weight with two hands near your chest. Keep your elbows a little bent.
  3. 3Lean back a little to tighten your stomach muscles.
  4. 4Turn your upper body to the right. Move the weight down near the floor on your right.
  5. 5Stop for a short time. Then turn to the left and move the weight down near the floor on your left.
  6. 6Keep switching sides until you finish your set.
