Weighted Muscle Up (on Bar)

This is a very hard exercise done with extra weight attached to you. It mixes a pull-up and a dip into one big move on a bar. It works your back, arms, and shoulders. You need to be very strong and skilled to do it safely.

How to Perform

  1. 1Hang from the bar with your hands a little wider than your shoulders and palms facing forward.
  2. 2Tighten your stomach muscles and pull your shoulders down.
  3. 3Bend your elbows and pull your chest up to the bar very fast.
  4. 4When your chest gets to the bar, push down hard with your hands to lift your body up over the bar.
  5. 5Stop for a moment at the top, then slowly lower yourself back down.
  6. 6Do this again for the number of times you want.
