The weighted cossack squat is a lower-body exercise that works your legs and glutes. It involves holding a weight while balancing on one leg and squatting down low to the side. This move helps improve your strength, flexibility, and balance.

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand with your feet very wide apart and point your toes slightly out.
  2. 2Hold a single weight close to your chest with both hands.
  3. 3Lean your weight to one side and bend that knee to squat down.
  4. 4Keep your other leg completely straight as you lower yourself.
  5. 5Go as low as you can while staying balanced and keeping your chest lifted.
  6. 6Push firmly through the heel of your bent leg to stand back up.
  7. 7Repeat the movement on the opposite side, switching back and forth.
