Sphinx

The sphinx is a gentle stretch for your lower back. You lie on your stomach and lift your chest up while keeping your forearms and toes on the ground. It helps your spine move better.

How to Perform

  1. 1Lie on your stomach with your forearms flat on the floor and elbows right under your shoulders.
  2. 2Tighten your tummy muscles and lift your chest up, but keep your arms and toes touching the floor.
  3. 3Stay there for a few seconds and look straight ahead to keep your neck straight.
  4. 4Slowly lower your chest back down to the floor.
  5. 5Do this again as many times as needed.
