Smith Decline Reverse-grip Press

This is a chest workout done on a Smith machine with the bench set to a decline angle. You hold the bar with your palms facing you to help work your lower chest muscles, shoulders, and triceps.

How to Perform

  1. 1Set the Smith machine bench to a decline angle.
  2. 2Lie back on the bench and tuck your feet securely under the pads.
  3. 3Hold the bar with an underhand grip (palms facing you), placing your hands a little wider than your shoulders.
  4. 4Unlock the bar and lower it slowly toward your chest while keeping your elbows close to your sides.
  5. 5Stop briefly at the bottom, then push the bar back up to where you started.
  6. 6Repeat this movement for your desired number of repetitions.
