Scapula Push-up

The scapula push-up is a bodyweight exercise that works the muscles near your ribs and helps your shoulder blades move better. You do this in a high plank position, moving your shoulder blades instead of bending your elbows.

How to Perform

  1. 1Get into a high plank position with your hands right under your shoulders and your body in a straight line.
  2. 2Let your chest sink toward the floor while keeping your elbows near your sides.
  3. 3As you go down, squeeze your shoulder blades together and push your chest forward.
  4. 4Stop for a second at the bottom, then push back up to where you started.
  5. 5Do this again for the number of times you want.
