Roller Back Stretch

This exercise uses a foam roller to gently stretch your spine and help your back move better. It also works on the muscles in your legs and bottom. You do it by rolling your back over the foam roller from the bottom all the way to the top.

Roller Back Stretch demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Sit on the floor with your legs straight out in front of you.
  2. 2Put the roller sideways behind you, right under your bottom.
  3. 3Lean back slowly so the roller moves up your back.
  4. 4Keep rolling until the roller reaches the top of your back.
  5. 5Stop for a second, then slowly roll back down to where you started.
  6. 6Do this as many times as you need.
