One Arm Chin-up

The one arm chin-up is a very hard bodyweight exercise for your back muscles. You need a lot of strength and balance to do it. To perform this move, you pull yourself up to a bar using just one arm, while your other hand holds your wrist to help.

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand in front of a pull-up bar with your feet apart.
  2. 2Grab the bar with one hand using an underhand grip.
  3. 3Hold the wrist of that arm with your other hand for support.
  4. 4Hang with your arm straight and keep your stomach muscles tight.
  5. 5Pull your body up by bending your elbow and using your back muscles.
  6. 6Keep pulling until your chin goes over the bar.
  7. 7Slowly lower yourself back down until your arm is straight again.
  8. 8Do this for the number of times you want, then switch arms.
