Narrow Push-up On Exercise Ball

This exercise is a hard version of a push-up. You put your hands close together on a big exercise ball instead of the floor. It works your arm muscles (triceps) very well. Because the ball moves, your stomach muscles (core) must work hard to keep you steady.

How to Perform

  1. 1Put the ball on the floor. Get into a push-up shape with your hands on the ball, a little closer than your shoulders.
  2. 2Tighten your stomach muscles. Keep your body straight like a plank from your head to your feet.
  3. 3Bend your elbows to lower your chest to the ball. Keep your elbows near your sides.
  4. 4Stop for a second at the bottom. Then, push your body back up until your arms are straight.
  5. 5Do this as many times as you need to.
