Kettlebell One Arm Jerk

The kettlebell one arm jerk is a move where you use your legs and hips to help push a weight overhead with one arm. It builds power and strength in your shoulders, arms, and tummy.

Kettlebell One Arm Jerk demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand with your feet apart. Hold the kettlebell at one shoulder.
  2. 2Bend your knees a little bit and tighten your stomach muscles.
  3. 3Push the kettlebell straight up. As you push, quickly straighten your legs to help move the weight.
  4. 4When the weight gets high, quickly bend your knees again to drop underneath it.
  5. 5Catch the kettlebell with your arm fully straight overhead and your knees bent.
  6. 6Stand up tall until your legs are straight. Keep the weight steady overhead.
  7. 7Lower the kettlebell back to your shoulder and repeat.
