Kettlebell Hang Clean

This active exercise mainly strengthens the back of your legs, but also works your butt and front thigh muscles. You swing a kettlebell from between your legs up to your shoulder. You need to move your hips fast and use careful movements to do it safely.

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand with your feet apart. Hold the kettlebell in front of your legs.
  2. 2Bend your knees a little and lean forward at your hips. Keep your back straight.
  3. 3Lower the kettlebell toward the floor and let it swing between your legs.
  4. 4Stand up fast. Use that speed to swing the kettlebell up to your shoulder.
  5. 5When it reaches your shoulder, turn your wrist. Catch the kettlebell gently against your arm with your elbow tucked in.
  6. 6Lower the kettlebell back down between your legs and do it again.
