Hanging Straight Twisting Leg Hip Raise

This is a tough tummy exercise for strong muscles. You hang from a bar and lift your straight legs up high. Then, you turn your hips to the side to work your whole middle.

Hanging Straight Twisting Leg Hip Raise demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Hold onto a pull-up bar with your arms straight and your legs hanging down.
  2. 2Tighten your tummy muscles and lift your straight legs up toward your chest.
  3. 3When your legs are level with the floor, turn your hips to one side so your legs move that way.
  4. 4Stop there for a short time, then lower your legs back to the middle.
  5. 5Do the same move again, but this time turn your hips to the other side.
  6. 6Keep switching sides for as many times as you need.
