Dumbbell Upright Row (back Pov)

This exercise strengthens your shoulder muscles, along with your upper back and arms. You perform it by lifting weights from your thighs up to your shoulders while pulling your elbows up first.

Dumbbell Upright Row (back Pov) demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand with your feet as wide as your shoulders and hold a dumbbell in each hand with your palms facing you.
  2. 2Let the weights hang down in front of your legs with your arms straight.
  3. 3Keep your back straight and tighten your stomach muscles. Breathe out and pull the weights straight up toward your chin, letting your elbows lead the way.
  4. 4Lift until the weights reach shoulder height and your elbows point out to the sides.
  5. 5Stop for a moment at the top, then breathe in and slowly lower the weights back down to where you started.
  6. 6Do this again for as many times as you need.
