Dumbbell Supported Squat

This lower body exercise works your front thigh muscles, along with your butt and the back of your legs. You hold a weight in each hand by your sides while squatting down. This helps build leg strength and improves your balance.

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand with your feet as wide as your shoulders. Hold a dumbbell in each hand down by your sides.
  2. 2Keep your chest lifted and your tummy muscles tight. Slowly lower yourself by bending your knees and moving your hips backward.
  3. 3Go down until your thighs are flat like a table, or as low as feels comfortable.
  4. 4Stop for a moment at the bottom. Then, push down through your heels to stand back up.
  5. 5Do this again for as many times as you want.
