This exercise works the muscles on the back of your arms, called the triceps. You do it by leaning forward and straightening your arms behind you while holding weights.

Dumbbell Standing Bent Over Two Arm Triceps Extension demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand with your feet apart and hold a weight in each hand.
  2. 2Bend your knees a little and lean your upper body forward, keeping your back flat.
  3. 3Push your arms straight back behind you, but keep your elbows touching your sides.
  4. 4Gently bring the weights back down to where you started.
  5. 5Do this again for as many times as you need.
