This exercise works the triceps muscles on the back of your arm. You do it by bending over and straightening your arm behind you while holding a weight.

Dumbbell Standing Bent Over One Arm Triceps Extension demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand with your feet apart and hold a dumbbell in one hand.
  2. 2Lean forward at your waist. Keep your back flat and straight like a table.
  3. 3Straighten your arm all the way back. Keep your elbow stuck close to your side.
  4. 4Slowly lower the weight back to where you started.
  5. 5Do this as many times as you want, then switch to the other arm.
