Dumbbell Side Bend

The dumbbell side bend is a focused exercise for your waist muscles. You hold a weight in one hand and lean to the side to strengthen your middle.

Dumbbell Side Bend demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand tall with your feet apart and hold a weight in one hand, letting it hang by your side.
  2. 2Keep your back straight and your tummy tight. Slowly lean sideways at your waist away from the weight. Lower the weight as far as you comfortably can.
  3. 3Stop for a second, then slowly stand back up straight.
  4. 4Do this as many times as you want, then switch the weight to the other hand and do the same thing.
