Dumbbell Seated Calf Raise

This exercise works the muscles in your lower legs. You sit down and place a dumbbell on your thighs to do it. It helps make your calves stronger.

Dumbbell Seated Calf Raise demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Sit on a bench or chair. Rest a dumbbell on top of your thighs.
  2. 2Put the front part of your feet on a block or step. Let your heels hang off the edge.
  3. 3Hold the dumbbell with your hands to keep it steady.
  4. 4Lift your heels up as high as you can. Push up onto your toes.
  5. 5Stop for a second at the top. Then, slowly lower your heels back down.
  6. 6Do this again for the number of times you want.
