Dumbbell Pullover

This exercise works your chest, back, and arm muscles. You lie on a bench, lower a weight behind your head, and then pull it back up over your chest.

Dumbbell Pullover demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Lie flat on your back on a bench with your feet touching the floor.
  2. 2Hold one dumbbell with both hands and reach your arms straight up over your chest.
  3. 3Keep your elbows bent just a little bit. Slowly lower the weight behind your head until you feel a stretch in your chest and shoulders.
  4. 4Stop for a moment, then lift the weight back up to where you started.
  5. 5Do this again for as many times as you need.
