Dumbbell Over Bench Reverse Wrist Curl

This exercise strengthens the muscles on the top of your forearms. You perform it while sitting down, resting your lower arms on a bench so your hands hang off the edge. You lift the dumbbells upward while keeping the backs of your hands facing the ceiling.

Dumbbell Over Bench Reverse Wrist Curl demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Sit on a bench with your feet flat on the floor. Hold a dumbbell in each hand with your palms facing down.
  2. 2Place your forearms flat on the bench so that your wrists and hands hang off the edge.
  3. 3Slowly lift your hands up, bending only at the wrists to pull the weights toward you.
  4. 4Hold the lift for a second, then slowly lower your hands back down to where they started.
  5. 5Repeat these steps for the number of times you want to complete.
