The dumbbell lying on floor rear delt raise is a focused exercise for the muscles on the back of your shoulders. To do it, you lie on your stomach on the ground and lift weights out to your sides. This helps strengthen your rear shoulders and upper back.

How to Perform

  1. 1Lie on your stomach on the floor with a dumbbell in each hand, and turn your palms to face each other.
  2. 2Reach your arms straight out in front of you, but keep your elbows slightly bent.
  3. 3Use your shoulder muscles to lift your arms up and out to the sides until you squeeze your shoulder blades together.
  4. 4Hold your arms up for a short moment, then slowly lower them back down to where you started.
  5. 5Do this again for as many times as you need.
