Donkey Calf Raise

The donkey calf raise uses your own body weight to strengthen your lower legs. You stand with your toes on a step and lift your heels up and down to build calf muscles.

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand with only your toes on a step or block.
  2. 2Hold onto a wall or railing to keep your balance.
  3. 3Push your heels up as high as you can, shifting your weight to the balls of your feet.
  4. 4Stop briefly at the top.
  5. 5Slowly lower your heels back to where you started.
  6. 6Do this for the number of times you want.
