Cocoons

This is a tummy exercise that uses your own body weight. It focuses on strengthening your stomach muscles, while also working your hips and lower back. You will curl your upper body up from the floor to a halfway position while keeping your core tight.

How to Perform

  1. 1Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor.
  2. 2Put your hands behind your head and point your elbows out to the sides.
  3. 3Tighten your stomach muscles and slowly lift your upper body up until you are about halfway up (45 degrees).
  4. 4Stop for a short moment at the top, then slowly lower your body back down to the start.
  5. 5Do this again for the number of times you want.
