Cambered Bar Lying Row

This exercise builds muscle in your upper back. To do it, you lie on your stomach on a bench and pull a curved bar up to your chest. This motion helps you squeeze your shoulder blades together.

Cambered Bar Lying Row demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Put the bar on the floor and lie on your stomach on a bench so your chest is near the edge.
  2. 2Reach down and hold the bar with your palms facing down, placing your hands a bit wider than your shoulders.
  3. 3Keep your legs straight and feet on the floor, then lift the bar up by straightening your arms.
  4. 4Pull the bar up to your chest and squeeze your shoulder blades together.
  5. 5Lower the bar back down to where you started and repeat this for your set.
