Calf Stretch With Rope

This is a simple stretching exercise using a rope. It helps make your calf and hamstring muscles more flexible.

Calf Stretch With Rope demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand in front of a wall or heavy object with your feet a little apart.
  2. 2Hold the ends of the rope. Put the middle of the rope around the ball of your right foot.
  3. 3Step back with your left foot. Keep your left leg straight and your left heel flat on the floor.
  4. 4Lean forward with a straight back. Gently pull the rope to stretch your calf.
  5. 5Hold this position for 20 to 30 seconds, then let go.
  6. 6Do the same steps for the other leg.
