Cable Upper Chest Crossovers

This exercise uses a cable machine to work your chest muscles, especially the upper part. You pull the cables across the front of your body. This movement also helps strengthen your shoulders and the back of your arms.

How to Perform

  1. 1Put the handles on the machine at the same height as your chest.
  2. 2Stand in the middle of the machine with one foot a little bit in front of the other.
  3. 3Hold the handles with your palms facing the floor and keep your arms straight out to your sides.
  4. 4Bend your elbows just a little bit and tighten your stomach muscles.
  5. 5Pull the handles together in front of your chest so the cables cross over each other.
  6. 6Squeeze your chest muscles tight when your hands are together.
  7. 7Slowly let the handles go back to where you started.
  8. 8Repeat this for the number of times you chose.
