Cable Standing Fly

The cable standing fly is a chest exercise done on a cable machine. It works your chest muscles while also using your shoulders and arms. You need to balance well and move carefully to do it safely and get the best results.

Cable Standing Fly demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Put the handles on the machine at chest height.
  2. 2Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, looking away from the machine.
  3. 3Grab the handles with your palms facing forward.
  4. 4Take a small step forward so the cables are tight.
  5. 5Tighten your stomach muscles and keep your back straight.
  6. 6Keep your elbows bent just a little bit. Slowly bring your hands together in front of your chest.
  7. 7Squeeze your chest muscles hard when your hands meet.
  8. 8Slowly move your arms back to where they started.
  9. 9Do this again for as many times as you need.
