Cable Squat Row (with Rope Attachment)

This exercise mixes a squat with a pulling motion. It works your back, arms, and legs all at once. You need good balance and a strong tummy to do it right.

Cable Squat Row (with Rope Attachment) demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Hook a rope to the cable machine at your waist level.
  2. 2Stand in front of the machine with your feet apart like your shoulders.
  3. 3Bend your knees to sit down low like you are in a chair. Keep your back straight and look forward.
  4. 4Hold the rope with your palms facing down and hands apart.
  5. 5Tighten your tummy muscles and pull the rope to your chest. Squeeze your shoulder blades together.
  6. 6Keep your elbows near your sides as you pull.
  7. 7Stop for a second when your hands touch your chest.
  8. 8Slowly let the rope go back out and straighten your arms to start again.
  9. 9Do this as many times as you need to.
