Cable Seated Twist

This exercise uses a cable machine to work your stomach muscles and the sides of your waist. You sit down and turn your upper body while the machine pulls against you.

Cable Seated Twist demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Sit down on the machine with your feet flat on the floor and your knees bent a little bit.
  2. 2Hold the handle with both hands and reach your arms straight out in front of you.
  3. 3Tighten your stomach muscles. Slowly turn your upper body to one side, pulling the cable across you.
  4. 4Stop for a second when you have turned as far as you can, then slowly turn back to where you started.
  5. 5Do the same movement on the other side.
  6. 6Keep switching sides until you are finished.
