Cable Seated Shoulder Internal Rotation

This exercise focuses on the shoulder muscles, specifically the rotator cuff and deltoids. You sit down and use a cable machine to create resistance while you turn your arm inward.

Cable Seated Shoulder Internal Rotation demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Sit on a bench or chair in front of the cable machine with your feet flat on the floor.
  2. 2Hold the handle with your arm reaching straight forward, keeping it level with the ground.
  3. 3Keep a small bend in your elbow and hold your shoulder blades back and down.
  4. 4Gently turn your arm inward so the handle moves toward the middle of your body.
  5. 5Stop for a second, then slowly move your arm back to where you started.
  6. 6Do this for the set number of times, then switch to the other arm.
