Cable Seated Rear Lateral Raise

This exercise is for the muscles on the back of your shoulders. It also works the upper back. You sit at a cable machine and lift your arms out to the sides until they are level with your shoulders.

Cable Seated Rear Lateral Raise demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Sit on a bench and face the cable machine. Keep your feet flat on the floor.
  2. 2Hold the handles with your palms facing down. Reach your arms straight out in front of you.
  3. 3Keep your arms straight and slowly lift them out to your sides. Stop when they are level with the floor.
  4. 4Hold still for a second at the top.
  5. 5Slowly lower your arms back to where you started.
