Cable Decline One Arm Press

This is a chest exercise using a cable machine. It focuses on the lower part of the chest but also works the shoulders and triceps. Because you use only one arm on a slanted bench, you must stay balanced and controlled.

How to Perform

  1. 1Set the cable machine to the decline position.
  2. 2Stand facing away from the machine and hold the handle with one hand.
  3. 3Lie down on the decline bench with your back flat and your arm stretched straight out in front of you.
  4. 4Bend your elbow to bring the handle down toward your chest, keeping your upper arm still.
  5. 5Stop for a short moment at the bottom, then push the handle back up to where you started.
  6. 6Finish your repetitions, then switch to the other arm.
