Cable Concentration Extension (on Knee)

This exercise is used to strengthen the triceps, the muscles on the back of your arm. You sit down for this movement and rest your elbow against the inside of your knee. This helps keep your upper arm perfectly still so the triceps do all the work.

Cable Concentration Extension (on Knee) demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Sit on a bench or chair with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor.
  2. 2Hold the cable handle in one hand and rest your elbow against the inside of your knee on the same side.
  3. 3Push your hand out until your arm is completely straight, but keep your elbow touching your knee the whole time.
  4. 4Stop for a second when your arm is straight, then slowly bend your arm back to where you started.
  5. 5Do this as many times as you need to, then switch to the other arm.
