Bodyweight Standing Close-grip One Arm Row

This is a one-sided exercise for the upper back. It uses body weight to build pulling strength and helps with balance.

Bodyweight Standing Close-grip One Arm Row demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Stand with your feet apart and knees slightly bent. Hold a dumbbell in one hand with your palm facing your body.
  2. 2Lean forward from your hips. Keep your back flat and your stomach muscles tight.
  3. 3Pull the weight up to your chest. Keep your elbow close to your side and squeeze your back muscles.
  4. 4Stop for a second at the top. Slowly lower the weight back down.
  5. 5Do the set number of times, then switch to the other arm.
