Body-up

The body-up is a bodyweight exercise that strengthens your arm muscles, specifically the triceps. It also works your chest and shoulders. You keep your feet on the floor and use your arms to lower and lift your straight body, just like a dip.

How to Perform

  1. 1Put your hands on a bench or raised surface behind you, with your palms down and fingers pointing forward.
  2. 2Stretch your legs out straight in front of you, keeping your heels on the floor and your body stiff.
  3. 3Bend your elbows to lower your body until your upper arms are flat like a table. Keep your elbows tucked close to your sides.
  4. 4Stop for a second, then push down with your hands to straighten your arms and lift your body back up.
