Bench Pull-ups

Bench pull-ups are a simple bodyweight exercise that builds back strength. You lie underneath a sturdy bar or table and pull your chest up to it while keeping your body straight like a plank. This move works your back muscles, arms, and grip.

How to Perform

  1. 1Find a strong bar or sturdy table that is about chest height.
  2. 2Lie under it and grab the edge with your hands a bit wider than your shoulders.
  3. 3Hang with your arms straight and stiffen your body so it forms a straight line.
  4. 4Pull your chest up to the bar by bending your elbows and squeezing your shoulder blades together.
  5. 5Keep pulling until your chest touches or gets very close to the bar.
  6. 6Slowly lower yourself back down until your arms are straight again.
  7. 7Do this as many times as you need.
