Barbell Wrist Curl

This exercise works the muscles in your forearms. You sit on a bench with your arms resting on your legs and use your wrists to curl a barbell upward.

Barbell Wrist Curl demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Sit on a bench with your feet flat on the floor. Hold a barbell with your palms facing up and rest your forearms on your thighs.
  2. 2Let the barbell roll down toward your fingertips, but keep your wrists straight.
  3. 3Slowly curl the bar up toward your arms by bending your wrists.
  4. 4Pause for a second at the top, then slowly lower the bar back down.
  5. 5Repeat this movement for the number of times you want.
