Barbell Seated Good Morning

The barbell seated good morning is a muscle-building exercise that mainly works your butt muscles, while also helping your hamstrings and lower back. To do it, you sit on a bench with a barbell on your shoulders, lean forward from your hips, and then sit back up straight.

How to Perform

  1. 1Sit on a bench with your feet flat on the floor and a barbell resting across your upper back.
  2. 2Hold your back straight and keep your chest lifted.
  3. 3Slowly bend forward at your hips to lower your upper body toward the floor.
  4. 4Stop for a second at the bottom, then push down with your heels to lift your body back up to the start.
  5. 5Do this again for as many times as you need.
