Barbell Reverse Preacher Curl

This exercise works your biceps and forearms. You do it while sitting on a preacher bench with your chest against the pad. You hold the barbell with your palms facing down to focus on the muscles in your upper and lower arms.

Barbell Reverse Preacher Curl demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Sit on the bench and lean your chest against the pad. Let your arms hang straight down while holding the bar with your palms facing down.
  2. 2Keep your upper arms completely still. Breathe out and lift the bar up by bending your elbows.
  3. 3Keep lifting the bar until your arm muscles feel tight and the bar is at shoulder height.
  4. 4Stop at the top for a short moment and squeeze your arm muscles.
  5. 5Breathe in and slowly lower the bar back down to where you started.
  6. 6Repeat this movement for the number of times you need.
